Scripture Reading

Our foundational Scripture comes from Jeremiah 29:11

Discover how faith can transform your life. Learn to let go of past burdens, embrace a Christ-centered mindset, and live in alignment with God's plan. Experience the blessings of a renewed life in Christ.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Faith as the Foundation of Purpose

To live a life of purpose, we must begin with faith. Faith is more than believing in God; it is trusting Him with every aspect of our lives, even when the road ahead is unclear. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:6 “Without faith, it is impossible to please God.”

Faith requires us to:

  • Believe in God’s Promises: Even when circumstances suggest otherwise, trust that God’s Word is true. Abraham believed God would give him a son, despite his old age (Romans 4:20-21)
  • Step Out in Obedience: Faith is demonstrated through action. Peter walked on water when he trusted Jesus, but fear made him sink. Trust requires focus on God, not the waves of life (Matthew 14:29-31).

Discovering Your Purpose in God

Every person is created with a divine purpose. You are not here by accident; God has a plan for your life that aligns with His Kingdom.

  • Seek God in Prayer: Spend time asking God to reveal His will for your life. “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3
  • Study His Word: God’s purpose is often revealed through Scripture. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105
  • Serve Others: Your purpose is often connected to how you can bless others. Jesus said, “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.” Matthew 20:28
  • Use Your Gifts: God has uniquely equipped you with talents, passions, and spiritual gifts to fulfill His calling. “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.” Romans 12:6

Living Out Your Purpose

Once you know your purpose, it's time to live it out. This requires commitment, perseverance, and reliance on God's strength.

  • Walk in Obedience: Trust God's timing and direction, even when it’s difficult. Remember Jonah, who tried to run from God's call but found fulfillment only when he obeyed. (Isaiah 1:19)
  • Overcome Fear and Doubt: God's plans often take us out of our comfort zones, but His promise is to be with us. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
  • Remain Focused on Eternity: Keep your eyes on the eternal reward, not earthly distractions. “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” Hebrews 12:1-2
